As per the notification No. LSGD/PD/24269/2024 EER1 dated 06.09.2024, published by the Director of Local Self Government Department (Rural) in the Extraordinary Gazette No. 2888 dated 07.09.2024, the number of seats to be filled through direct election in Alakode Grama Panchayat was fixed at 21.
Accordingly, draft proposals for dividing the said Grama Panchayat into 21 constituencies and determining the boundaries of such constituencies were published vide Notification No. SDC./951/2024/SDC6 dated 18.11.2024. Time was granted up to 04.12.2024 for submitting objections and suggestions regarding the said proposals.
The objections and suggestions received within the stipulated time were duly examined, the complainants were heard in person, and the representations were considered and disposed of accordingly.
Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 10 of the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, Alakode Grama Panchayat is hereby divided into 21 constituencies, and the boundaries of the said constituencies are determined as shown in the schedule appended herewith.
Accordingly, the final order regarding the division of Alakode Grama Panchayat into 21 constituencies and the determination of their boundaries is hereby issued.
